This Manchester U.K. EDM influenced Jazz Trio has been on a bit of a surge lately and with the added boost of being on Blue Note Records they do have a growing exposure and are become less obscure. Still there is a long way to go before they become the household name they could be. Gogo Penguin blend EDM, Trip Hop, and Traditional Jazz with catchy nearly pop melodies. Any one of there offerings is a pleasure to hear but personally Man Made Object has a je ne c'est qui about it that plays so well from start to finish.

BBNG have an evolving approach at recording and each album is indirectly under specific influences, and album III is all about hip hop, electronic, and dub genres blended with acid jazz creating an adventure that is pure pleasure from end to end.

This album "Out Of Body" has a little bit of everything in the scope of the trio's sounds and capabilities.
